Re-Elect Amy Puhalski For Central Regional Coordinator

My name is Amy Puhalski, and I am your current Central Regional Coordinator. I began my career with the United States Postal Service in 1993 as a PTF clerk at the Grand Rapids, Michigan Processing and Distribution Plant where I am still currently employed. I joined this great union on my first day during orientation where I became a proud member of the Western Michigan Area Local.

I became a steward a few years into my career and since then I have hit the ground running. After years of being a steward and serving on many local committees I ran for the Vice President position and was successful. I served two terms as Vice President and then ran for local President where I served the membership for almost 12 years. Over the course of my local leadership, I negotiated local memorandums of understanding, filed multiple grievances, testified in hearings, filed numerous NLRB charges, coordinated many days of action, lobbied on the hills of DC, chaired the state and national constitution committee, chaired the national clerk craft committee, in addition to many other committees. I was appointed to the Central Regional Coordinator position in June of 2023.

As your Central Regional Coordinator I represent and advocate for thousands of union members across thirteen states. I serve on the National Executive Board as the liaison for the states I represent. My responsibilities include working closely and coordinating with local and state leaders, addressing members concerns, assisting with contract enforcement, coordinating regional labor management meetings, facilitating training when needed, handing the Article 12 process when offices are impacted by excessing (where I work closely with local leadership and the National Business agents)  , I relay updates to the field, provide feedback from the field, help implement national initiatives at the regional level. I also address staffing issues when requested and enforce safety and health issues.

Several management officials at the regional level have informed me that I am too involved in issues at the local level. First, their opinion means nothing to me. Second, I will help anywhere I can to ensure every member has access to fair representation and a strong voice in the workplace.

I would love to continue to serve the Central Region as your Coordinator for another term. I appreciate all the hard work that the locals do and continue to do and look forward to working with you all. Please vote Amy Puhalski for Central Regional Coordinator!

In Solidarity
